TokudAw Inc.’s Charity Rice Planting Project: A partner of Field of Dreams

The Field of Dreams Project is led by Mr. Keijiro Sorimachi, the chairperson of United Will Association . Rice harvested from the Field of Dreams would be donated to people who are in economically difficult situations in Japan.

5kg of rice from each participant, per session, is donated to non-Japanese, currently living in Japan who are in difficult situations via official charitable organizations. We meet up four times a year to complete this dream together.

  • Our first trip together (Dec/Jan/Feb)

    Watch a preview of what you can do during the winter session here

    You will mainly enjoy newly harvested rice from the season and learn how to make local rice related delicacies like mochi, onigiri, gohei mochi etc.

  • Our new beginning in Spring (Apr/May)

    Learn how to prepare the field for sowing and learn how to sowing of seeds, wait for the rice seedling to grow and transplant it into the rice field.

  • Rice cultivation

    Rice cultivation in Summer (July/Aug)

    Learn how to maintain the organic rice field. Main tasks involve removing weeds as no herbicides and pesticides are used in the organic rice planting process.

  • Harvesting (Aug)

    Finally, it is time to harvest rice from your own field.

    Take part in a local rice harvest festival to celebrate the end of the season!
